Who am I?
Are you the sum total of what you do or what you have?
No!
Christianity teaches that our identity doesn't depend on something we do or have done. Our true identity is who we are in Christ Jesus. Jesus died and rose again to take away our sin and open up the way to live with God now and forever in heaven. God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son. Anyone who believes in him will not die but will have eternal life.
When God looks at us through Jesus his perfect son he no longer sees our messy sin and our short comings. He sees us as perfect and righteous Just as Jesus is perfect! Want to learn more.... click the button to explore an interesting article that explores the Christian world view:

Who is God?
God is the ultimate being in existence, perfect in power, love, and character.
God is sometimes referred to as the Trinity – meaning 3 in 1. The 3 persons of God: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit are all fully and completely God. Just as ice, water and steam are all fully and completely H20.
Who is God the Father?
God created you and everything that exists. He gave you your body and soul, mind and senses, and all your abilities, and still takes care of them.
He also gives you everything that you need from day to day – things like food, clothes, home and family, work, and money.
God protects you from danger and keeps you safe when you are in trouble. God does all this only because he is your kind and loving Father; and not because you deserve it. All you can do is thank, praise, serve, and obey God.
Who is Jesus?
Jesus Christ is truly God – he has always been the Son of the Father. He is also a real human being, the Virgin Mary’s son.
Jesus rescues you when you are lost and sentenced to death. He sets you free from all your sins, from death, and from the power of the devil. It cost him more than gold or silver; it cost him his life. Even though he was holy and innocent, he suffered and died for you.
Jesus did this so that you can belong to him, and he can rule over you as your king. You can live under him and serve him, innocent and happy forever, just as he was raised to life, and lives and rules forever.
Who is the Holy Spirit?
On our own we can never come to Jesus Christ, or believe in him, no matter how hard we try. But the Holy Spirit calls us to Jesus by the good news about him. The Spirit leads us to know and trust Jesus, makes us holy, and keeps us in the Christian faith.
In the same way the Holy Spirit created the Christian Church all over the world. The Spirit call people to Jesus, brings them together into the church, leads them to know and trust Jesus, makes them holy, and keeps them with Jesus in the Christian faith.
In the Christian church the Spirit keeps on forgiving all the sins of everyone who believes in Jesus.
At the end of time the Spirit will raise to life all who have died, and will give all who believe in Christ eternal life.

What is my purpose?
God has made you to love you forever! In response we live to glorify God and to live in God's presence. Maybe the simplest way to understand our purpose is to remember that God has loved us first (see 1 John 4) even before we could ever love him back (See Romans 5:8)! With hearts of thanksgiving and praise to God we can serve and care for others.
What is Prayer?
We communicate with God through prayer.
Praying is not meant to be hard. Talking to God is like talking to your best friend.
You can say anything, ask anything and talk about your inmost joys and hurts and know that he won’t share what you’ve told him with anyone. He just listens!
If you ask God for help in some way – he will hear you and he will answer you.
When we pray the Lord’s Prayer, we call God “Our Father”. God is a loving and caring father who always has the time to love and listen to you, for you are his precious child.

The Lord's Prayer
The Lord's prayer is a way of praying that Jesus taught his followers to pray. Here is the Lord's prayer with actions as we pray at Messy Church at Immanuel.
