JESUS LOVES EWE SUNDAY 21ST JUNE
What happened?
On the 21st of June we celebrated our fourth Messy Church of the year, titled 'Jesus Loves Ewe'. It was a wonderful afternoon filled with fun packed activites, yummy food and great fellowship. We learnt about how Jesus is the Good Shepherd and we are his sheep through some awesome activities, including: making wool wrapped cardboard sheep, a blind sheep obstacle course, find the lost sheep treasure hunt, a sheepy themed version of red rover, creating a communal artwork, making sheep faces and colouring in yards. These super fun activities were followed by celebration time and a really tasty meal. Throughout the afternoon we also learnt about how Jesus loves each and every on of us so much!

Below are two stories, one about the good samaratin and the other about the lost sheep
In the story about the lost sheep the shepherd is like Jesus and we are like his sheep. When we wonder off into the darkness and fall away from him he does not forget about us instead, he searches for us until he finds us so that he can bring us back to safely in the light.

Bible Verses
John 10:10-12
10The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. 11 “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.
Luke 15 : The Parable of the Lost Sheep
15 Now the tax collectors and sinners were all gathering around to hear Jesus.2 But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law muttered, “This man welcomes sinners and eats with them."
3 Then Jesus told them this parable: 4 “Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? 5 And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders 6 and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’ 7 I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.
